I'm the opposite. I started out in Eagle (v4 I think) and loved it until v7/Autodesk acquired it. I tried to use it up until v9 I think. It just got more frustrating for me to use. I hated it and jumped ship to KiCad which I love. I get customers that send me Eagle files from time to time which I dread dealing with.
